Green Bay Packers
Debuting in June of 1997, Packers.com was one of the first official NFL team sites to hit the Internet. With a small, tapped out staff, the Packers turned to DMI to design, create and manage Packers.com.
In those early days, DMI staffers were responsible for all site maintenance, working in conjunction with Packers PR to make sure fans would get the latest & greatest Packers news online before anywhere else. You'd see us around Lambeau gathering content for stories, snapping photos on the sidelines, interviewing players in the locker room & traveling with the team. We even shipped off our desktop computers & equipment and set up a remote office in San Diego to cover Super Bowl XXXII, uploading everything via dial-up!
Now the NFL runs all 32 club sites, but we're still working with the Packers. DMI provides the Packers additional customized programming services that the NFL can't offer to all it's member clubs. We developed the first official Green Bay Packers Apps for iOS and Android. And we help with hosting solutions for periods of peak traffic -- after all, we've been through a few Super Bowls, a pair of stock sales, record-breaking shareholders meetings, several coaching changes and a few retirements and unretirements... just to name a few!
