Social Media Intern

We're looking for a creative, motivated and organized individual who is passionate about social media and can commit to 20-25 hours per week. In this dynamic internship role, you’ll support our Social Media Manager in monitoring and managing the social channels across our internal and external client brands. The Social Media Intern role requires strong project management skills, a keen understanding of social marketing and a deep understanding of how digital media can be used to drive better customer engagement. You'll also be responsible for developing and posting compelling content, commenting on fan/follower posts, routing questions internally and sharing insights with our marketing communication teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and engage followers on a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and blogs
  • Implementing editorial content as part of the social media editorial calendar for each brand
  • Implement and manage social media marketing and advertising campaigns as developed by Social Media Manager and Brand teams
  • Assist in developing relationships with key digital influence thought leaders and brand ambassadors by implementing WOM campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze brand chatter in the digital space and develop reports with key internal stakeholders
  • Monitor online competitor presences / perceptions and develop reports with key internal stakeholders
  • Assist in monitoring user generated content externally and ratings and reviews on our internal brand sites
  • Aid in the creation of content including video
  • Monitor and track key metrics
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing Bachelor or Masters degree in Communications, PR or Marketing or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working with social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Independent, creative self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of search engine optimization fundamentals
  • Strong project management / organizational skills
